Dear Kangaroologists, It is with sadness that we have to notify you that it has not been possible to arrange the development of the XIV INK 2024 international workshop with its scientific conference on KMC as planned for this year in Montevideo, Uruguay with the support of PAHO and CLAP. But in 2024 we will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Kangaroo Foundation with a virtual scientific conference, organized jointly with the INK in accordance with our mission to disseminate KMC. It will be held between November 18 and 21, 2024, from 7 to 11 am (Colombian time). This schedule has been selected so that all continents can connect. Soon we will be giving more information about the scientific program of this event of interest to our KMC community. Although there will not be an international presential KMC workshop, it is proposed to each country to schedule before the conference a previous national workshop to discuss the difficulties and solutions for the implementation of the KMC in all its stages, including the i-KMC and the KMC follow-up and to prepare a summary. On the last day of the conference (November 21), a country representative will be given 15 minutes to socialize their results.

As of now, we are pleased to report that….

For 2026 we will be back recharged, and our long awaited event, the XIV World Kangaroo Workshop and Congress will be hosted by the Brazilian Ministry of Health.

We are happy, as Brazil is an example of diffusion of KMC in the world and has included KMC in their public health policies for its preterm or LBW babies with monitored results in all the country.

We reiterate our appreciation for your interest in this biannual practical and academic event that seeks to disseminate advances in KMC in the world and continue to consolidate this network of “Kangaroologists” concerned about the humanization of neonatology.
